Sanju Samson’s Blazing Knock Ends 12-Year Drought as India Stun West Indies in Record Run Chase in Ind vs WI T20

Two days before Holi, here at Eden Garden, star batsman Sanju Samson’s ball sprayed colours in the form of colours. With his memorable innings of unbeaten 97 runs, the Indian team reached the semi-finals of the ICC T-20 World Cup for the third consecutive time and the sixth time in total and also won the hearts of around 75 thousand fans present here.
The hero of India’s batting was wicket-keeper Sanju Samson. With his innings of 97* runs in 50 balls, he took the team to the target after a bad start.
At a time when no other batsman could even reach 30 runs, opener Sanju Samson held his ground and smashed 12 fours and 4 sixes in the innings.

This was the highest individual score by India in a successful chase in the T20 World Cup. Before this, Virat Kohli had scored 82 runs in Melbourne.
